lower school dropout
lower school dropout
no graduation day for you.
lower school dropout
so we are only what like 4 days in and already Hunter is ready to quit. the first grade, not 9th, not 8th, or 7th, no 1st grade. like seriously quit school, not just not go. so i explained of course like any mother what would happen if he didn't get an education. you know the usual you'll be a bum on the side of the road and never be able to read and someone will then make you sign papers and steal all your money. and you'll never get a job or have clothes or money and then you'll be a desperate dope fiend - okay so i overexaggerated some, but hey i was grasping at whatever i could to get him to go to school - i even went the whole mom will go to jail route - his response, "well how long would you be there?" then proceeds to tell me he'll visit me. great! thanks Hunter, be sure to send some stuffed brownies when you do.

  4. Okay seriously, you brought back a memory that I havent scrapped but need to...Demi did the same thing...had a great Kinder year, never got any colors right, first day of 1st grade she talked and got a number, came home and was not going back...(this was a new teacher and she was trying to set the guidelines...you know?) but Demi was devastated...the next day she would not and I mean not let go of my leg...cried....the great thing was that our friend and teacher was very in tune with her and the kids and I must say is one of our great friends and Demi adores her...her most loved teacher ever...there are so few of her in my opinion....we are so blessed to know her and to have had her for a teacher. I wish I could say that was her only number that year but with Demi her social and curriculum are even on the scale of importance..so I have just learned to let her be her so that she would flourish. I hope you are doing well....I think of you often and pray that you will have an awesome year. I know it is time to have some fun and enjoy life right!!! Hope lil Hunter has a great day today....if you end up in jail I will mail you some brownies too. Just know you are loved...and loved in TX!! Diana

PS - thanks for stopping by my blog...I love the comments which are so few and far between....that was my biggest day..haha!! Oh and Demi is ready to move on from HS musical..one year and it is time for something new..i so need to win the lottery...haha!

  5. Oh yeah, we have one of those weeks every year. Mind you, Tess has only done kindergarten and 1st grade, but I've had to tell her "school is your JOB, like Daddy has a JOB and Mommy has a JOB..." from time to time, esp at the beginning of school. I've had to give her a ride to school or pick her up because the bus ride gets overwhelming...40 minutes to an hour on a bus would wear me down, too...

  7. Your kid made me laugh! Just remember, when he gets to high school, the offer to visit you will be off the table. :)
