There is a lot to be thankful for around this time of year. We all have our list and are so grateful for what God provides! Yet, in our family we have a special gift around this time of year to be thankful for and it is this guy here. His determination, love and endurance is admirable. His kindheartedness and loyalty is insurmountable. So thankful for the Lord bringing a mighty warrior of God that proudly represents our family. Thankful that the Lord saw our family as the right fit for him. Thankful that this child of God has become a man of God. Love you Hunter Gautreaux and Happy 15th Birthday!

Me After You
Tuesday, November 14, 2017
I believe when you meet people in your life there is a before and after of your self. A version of you before you meet that person and another version after meeting them. The before can be better or worse or vice versa for the after. Me before you was great - a little broken and chipped, but I was managing. The good Lord knew though that you were the after I needed, because the me after you is amazing. My cup before was full, but still leaked a bit. My after with you has runneth over. Your love has shown me how to pour out that love to others, repair the brokenness, and brush the chips away. My after version of my self has become my happily ever after! So no matter what life throws our way, no matter the hardships or crazy times I am so completely blessed to live them out with you bae. I love you forever! Happy Birthday!!
This Season

And the season is over! I can't say I am going to miss the gas and money burned every week, but I can say it was well worth it. We all go through seasons in our life. It might be the seasons of the year, sport seasons and even farming seasons. Yet this football season, I believe we went through a season of humbleness.
In Deuteronomy 8:2-3 it says:
"And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord."
I believe we were humbled both on the field and in the stands. We faced adversity, negativity and even some ignorance yet continued through reminding ourselves of God's promise. Reminding ourselves that the touchdown or block we prayed for was already plays planned out by God and that we had to trust that He knew what was best for the team. That He would work it out for the greater good. Maybe that touchdown or block was needed for the other team. Maybe it was just for one person or the whole team as a whole, but as I sat in the stands each week, praying for them, cheering them on - I had to sometimes sit back and accept what was played out before me and trust. So, I began watching the game from another point of view and I watched my boy play with heart. He stood on solid ground every day. The solid foundation of our perfect Lord. Hunter Gautreaux you did amazing this year! I love you dearly! Thank you to everyone who has supported him on this journey!
